Today is the 20th day in which I have not partaken in a cigarette. I am sooo proud of myself. Another week...and I should have no reason to CRAVE tobacco. From what I've been told...that's roughly how long it takes to "forget the feeling." "Forget the craving" if you will. I'm excited to be a NON-SMOKER. Do you know how much money I've already saved??? Lets see. I smoked roughly 1/2 a pack a day...maybe 2/3. Lets just say I bought a pack every 2 days. It's been 20 days. A pack of Parliament Lights...(my cigarette of choice)...costs about $4.72. If I smoke that much every 2 days...I must then multiply that amount by 10 days...which gives me...$4.72 x 10 = $47.20. DAMN. I saved about $50.oo in less than a month. Multiply that by 12 months...thats about $600 / yr. that I spent on cigarettes. And to be honest...there were times when I smoked a "pack a day." That would be roughly $1200.00 / yr. WOW. That's quite a bit.
Song of the day.
I'm all over the Kings of Leon album right now..."Only By The Night."
"Kings of Leon are a Grammy Award-winning[1] American rock band from Gardner, Massachusetts, USA. The band is made up of three brothers – Caleb Followill (b. January 14, 1982) (lead singer/rhythm guitar), Nathan Followill (b. June 26, 1979) (drums/backup vocals), Jared Followill (b. November 20, 1986) (bass guitar/backup vocals/synthesizer) – and their first cousin Matthew Followill (b. September 10, 1984) (lead guitar/backup vocals). They are all known by their middle names. The band's sound derives from southern rock, hard rock and alternative. They have released four full-length albums. The group's name is derived from Nathan, Caleb and Jared's father and grandfather, both named Leon.[2] In terms of chart positions the band has been far more popular in Europe (notably in the UK and Ireland) than they have been in their homeland. 80% of all record sales have come from UK winning two Brit Awards (best international band, best album) and Australia (where they had 2008's highest-selling album)." -Wikipedia
