Slumdog Millionaire was a really great movie. This movie was super hyped up for me too. I've been hearing about it for months now: I saw Freida Pinto (the georgeous co-star who plays Latika) on Jay Leno talking about it...the directer Danny Boyle won an award for best director, (I saw him get it, along with clips from the movie) and I have not heard one bad review from anyone that I've talked to about it. Not to mention seeing people talk about it on TV, people ranting and raving about it. I watched it tonight, and needless to say, it was awe-inspiring. The main character never gives up until he gets what he wants. Even though the cards he has dealt to him are awful, he finds a way to get passed it. He is a genius, a scholar, and a gentleman. The story was very original. I realize that I am hyping it up right now, so i'll stop. But watch it.






Storyline: A Mumbai teen who grew up in the slums, becomes a contestant on the Indian version of "Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?" He is arrested under suspicion of cheating, and while being interrogated, events from his life history are shown which explain why he knows the answers.
